EVERY TIME I DIE WEB SERIES

Every Time I Die have announced the release of a new weekly episodic series entitled Shit Happens: The Series?. This latest endeavor into international debauchery finds the boys again teamed up with Space Monkey Studios to bring you the finest in unapologetic tomfoolery. The Series? will premiere with a recap of their previous releases (including cult classic Shit Happens, Party Poopers and The Dudes and Don’ts of Recording) on July 14, while the first full episode will air on July 28. You can stream the series’ theme song now [Here]. “We never set out to be funny on camera,” says guitarist Jordan Buckley. “We set out to make good music and make people come to our shows. This is like a spinoff. This is the “Empty Nest” to our “Golden Girls.”

THURSDAY ENTER THE STUDIO

Thursday have entered the studio to record their sixth studio album and follow-up to 2009’s 'Common Existence'. The band will spend the next few months recording at Tarbox Road Studios in Fredonia, NY with Common Existence and A City by the Light Divided producer Dave Fridmann (MGMT, The Flaming Lips, Mogwai) and plan to release the new album in early 2011. In other Thursday related news, singer Geoff Rickly recently re-activated his acclaimed side project United Nations along with members from GlassJaw and Converge to release a 7” called Nevermind The Bombings, Here's Your Six Figures via Deathwish. He will also be singing with groundbreaking punk band Ink & Dagger for an upcoming benefit show.

SOCIAL DISTORTION SIGN TO EPITAPH

Epitaph Records has announced the signing of Southern California’s iconic Social Distortion to the label with plans to release their first studio album since 2004 in late 2010. The signing pairs one of rock ‘n’ roll’s most renowned bands with one of the most respected independent labels for what could be the greatest match in decades. In March the band entered a Burbank studio to record their yet to be titled seventh studio album, produced by Mike Ness, which is slated for release later this year.

After tearing across Australia recently on the Soundwave Festival, Escape The Fate, resume their battle to the top in 2010 by unleashing a deluxe edition of their fan coveted breakout album This War Is Ours on April 23 via Epitaph Records. ALKALINE TRIO HEAD TOWARDS EPITAPH

Alkaline Trio will release their seventh studio album in a joint venture between their own newly formed Heart & Skull label, and Epitaph Records. Interviews so far have had the band saying they are returning to their punk roots for this one which is currently due in February. The release of this album means Matt Skiba's solo album has been delayed, it was set for a January release, but with the band no doubt into overdrive for this album, it's been put back on the shelf indefinitely.
