  A CHAPTER CLOSES

The end of today marks the closing of the Festival Mushroom record label as we know it. As you probably know, the label was purchased by Warner Music recently, unfortunatly for the staffing ranks, all bar about 8 of the companies staff have been retrenched. Festival Mushroom was one of the labels we dealt with a whole lot here through Bombshell over the last six years and we wish all those staff who lost their jobs the best in finding something new, especially in a tough time just before the holidays, i know a number of them are regular readers and have been amazing supporters of the website and some of the best folk we have had the pleasure of dealing with, so good luck to them all! Let's keep our fingers crossed that none of the bands signed to the label suffer as a consequence of the transition and they continue to get the success they deserve. The first beer of tonight will be for you guys 'n gals!
