General News

After parting ways with long time label Sony Music the Jebs have been hitting the rehearsal studio hard. Inspired by the notion of recording an album as an indie-band in the true sense of the word, they are grappling with technology and demoing their first batch of new songs for Album #4. "It's an exciting time for us" says Chris Daymond (Guitarist), "it's inspiring to have a whole new set of choices and possibilities ahead of us." Demoing is expected to move along with enthusiasm. Frontman Kevin Mitchell has been busy tracking a solo album using his now known pseudonym Bob Evans. Mixing of the album will get underway in the next week with a release scheduled through the Jebs own Redline Records in the middle of the year. The album is a mix of raw solo ditties and songs that find Kev collaborating with some obliging Perth musos chipping in to give Bob a band. "Bob Evans delivers a humble set of acoustic tunes, songs about love, loss and broken cars ripping out sweet acoustic melodies." Xpress Magazine. Not one to sit still bassist Vanessa Thornton has been mixing up her creative company and keeping her thirst for playing live quenched by doing a little bass moonlighting in Perth band End of Fashion. This temporary position is seeing her face popping up on all kinds of Perth stages.
