 The Ataris are regular visitors to our shores and have just announced another visit in September to co-incide with a new DVD "Live At Capitol Milling" due out in September. The tour will take in both all ages and over 18's shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth with tickets for all shows bar Brisbane on sale Monday August 11th, Brisbane August 14th. "Live At Capitol Milling" the eagerly-awaited DVD will be hitting stores September 15. The release captures the filming of the video for their single "In This Diary" at a Los Angeles warehouse along with a mini-concert the band put on for the few hundred fans who turned out for the shoot. "We are a very personal band with our fans," singer Kris Roe says. "We definitely go out of our way. We take it an extra mile. We write all our fans back personally, we run our own website personally. We have a kid from the audience get on stage with us and play guitar on a song with us every night. We listen to the demos kids give us and we've even helped a few bands get signed to indie labels. We want this to be known about our band: all we are is a bunch of music fans who got lucky and happen to be living our dream. We are a band that exists solely for our fans." The band is currently on the road with the 2003 Vans Warped Tour in the USA. Their current album "so long, astoria" is out now and features the new single/cover 'Boys Of Summer' which is all over the US media at the moment and is expected to do the same here.
