Bombshell Presents LAGWAGON SHRINK DOWN A FEW SIZES AND GAIN A DOCTOR
Posted by Bomber on Tuesday, November 18 @ 13:10:00 CST (223 reads)

As you may have heard on the ol' grapevine, Lagwagon's guitarist and gentle giant Chris Flippin was deported from Australia last week courtesy of the Australian Department of Immigration who seemed to think he was lacking the good character required to enter the country. Not to worry though, despite the fact he could probably sleep inside one of Mr Flippin's shoes, Frenzal Rhomb guitarist Lindsay McDougall has stepped into the role of guitarist for Lagwagon for this tour. The tour has begun and continues on for the next couple of weeks, Read More for a reminder of the dates and details.

General News THEY STILL WANNA ROCK
Posted by Bomber on Saturday, November 15 @ 17:16:46 CST (26 reads)

Most likely inspired by this years recent re-invention of the Gladiators or the return of Axl Rose, it looks like something has been cooking in the depths of camp Nancy Vandal, and it's almost done, ready to emerge once more! "There have been some serious rumblings at NV HQ and for once we are not referring to a bean burrito Tess just ate. Watch this space for exciting news hasbeen enthusiasts." Nancy Vandal were last seen back in 2003 for a successful reunion show after dwindling away two years earlier. I daresay a good chunk of folks are in need of NV educating, so it's time to brush back that fringe so you can get a clear view when you click [Here]. Stay tuned for more news as it comes to hand.

General News NEW AFTER THE FALL SINGLE
Posted by Bomber on Wednesday, November 12 @ 23:58:59 CST (19 reads)

After The Fall have been relatively quiet of late, and there's a good reason for that. The band has been spending time working on album #3, and it's finally on it's way. After previously releasing through major labels the band decided to try things independently, choosing a country house in Victoria to record the new album. Our first taste of it is the single Break Me. The track will only be available from the bands web site as a free download and will not be sold in traditional formats. You can get your ears on it now [Here]. Break Me will be released as part of the full length After The Fall album independently in early 2009.

Tour News CLOCKCLEANER TOUR
Posted by Bomber on Wednesday, November 12 @ 10:56:04 CST (155 reads)

After several successful tours of the US, Philadelphia's most notorious noiserock trio is coming to Australia. Vocalist John Sharkey is often compared to Steve Albini at Big Black's peak; all grim perspectives are saturated with a sense of sardonic wit, and Clockcleaner sound very similar to the litany of Big Black's peers. While they endure these constant references to the dirgey 80's American post-punk landscape, Clockcleaner have also drawn numerous comparisons to the damaged history of Australian noise-rock groups – from X and Lubricated Goat to the Birthday Party and Scientists.
