The Return of The Joint Effort in Brisbane
on August 6th, 2014The time has come to wind back the clock to when 4zzz was young, providing live music fans in Brisbane with the best value for money live music event in town, ‘The Joint Effort‘. Traditionally held at the UQ campus refectory during the late 70’s, these events set the tone for the healthy live music scene Brisbane enjoys today. ‘The Return of The Joint Effort‘ will be held on Saturday November 8th, upstairs at the Hamilton Hotel, (Kingsford Smith Drive, Hamilton). Based on the same principles of the original events, great bands and great value for money. Teaming up with the crew at Punkfest, organisers have been able to secure the following line up. Starting with the recently reformed Painters and Dockers, playing their first show back in Brisbane in nearly 20 years, along with the no frills punk rock of the Cosmic Psychos, folk punk outfit The Go Set and Wolfpack. Local support comes in the shape of SixFtHick, Flangipanis, Some Jerks and BMX Ray. Music between the acts will be provided by Boss Sounds DJ’s. Tickets are $45 and $40 for 4ZZZ subscribers.
