Melbourne prog-rock act Toehider have announced the release of their second album ‘What Kind Of Creature Am I?‘ for Friday 11th July. Led by singer-songwriter Mike Mills, the band will take their Queen-influenced, larger-than-life progressive rock on the road in July & August, sporting a healthy dose of the quirkiness and tongue-in-cheek humour that makes them one of the most entertaining live bands in the country. The album tour will see the group join Voyager & Caligula’s Horse at club shows in Brisbane & Melbourne, before returning to Sydney alongside locals Anubis and featuring at Melbourne’s Heavy Fest event at The Tote. They then join The Beards for a 3-date Tasmanian tour in August. Expand this post for all the dates and details. The album release follows a successful crowdfunding campaign raising $13,000 (hitting their goal of $4,000 in just 12 hours) and an extensive co-headlining tour in March with Wollongong’s Troldhaugen in support of new single ‘Whoa!‘.
