Congratulations go out to The Amity Affliction who have themselves a second #1 charting album with the recently released ‘Let The Ocean Take Me‘, through Roadrunner Records. The band surprised many back in 2012 when ‘Chasing Ghosts‘ landed in the top spot, this time around the competition was much stronger for the Queensland act, beating out albums from Passenger and Jack White which both came out on the same day. They are only the fourth Australian act to top the charts so far this year. Two singles from the album have also appeared in the singles chart, ‘Pittsburgh‘ at #28 back in April, and ‘Don’t Lean On Me‘ at #24 last month. Don’t have a copy yet? You can fix that by picking it up on CD or Vinyl [Here] or digitally [Here]. The band last week announced their massive album launch tour, tickets will be on sale later this week. Expand this post if you need reminding of the details.
