THE BAND
How did the band first come to exist? Straight out of high school, we never had a chance to become adults.
How long has the band been going? 2 long, or maybe not long enough, we’ll have a better understanding when it ends.
Any particular story behind the name? As I’m sure you’ve guessed it’s a witty play on words, that’s what we’re all about. They say sarcasm is the lowest form of wit; and then there are puns.
What’s your most recent release? Tell us a little about it… Break up Sex, a few years back, it was all about love and loss and lust and looting.
Got a personal stand out achievement of your band to date? We’ve been partying like rock stars since we started, it think it’s an achievement we’re still alive.
OFF THE STAGE
What was your first introduction to music that made you think seriously about playing it? My brother joined Frenzal Rhomb while I was in high school, taught us a thing or two about being a little punk, don’t get me wrong I was always a little shit, first time I took to the stage was at a school festival, doing covers, singing “I want to Fuck you like an animal” to my Religion teacher, that did it for me
Any particular band / album or song that you personally credit as a major influence? Frenzal lit the fire, it was Propagandhi who stoked the flames, the look on the faces of two visiting Mormons whilst ‘Fuck Religion’ blasted on the stereo that told me we were on the right track .
Your first band name, and what style did you play? We’ve always been Ebolagoldfish only the music was shitter.
Most prized music related item you own? The hearts and minds of the youth of Australia.
When you’re not doing band related stuff, what are you usually found doing? Partying and taking drugs, that’s why music is such a good influence, it’s a handy distraction from being under the influence.
The thing you most look forward to just before a tour is… The Tour
The thing you least look forward to before a tour is… Discovering which instrument or item we have left behind / lost / broken or destroyed.

ON THE STAGE
When on offer, what’s your one must have item on the rider? I’m a cider drinker, not much for beer, but I can’t really call that a must have, cause I never fucking get it.
Favourite place you’ve toured… and why? Every time we tour we meet a new bunch of cunts that treat us like family, Canberra was first, they’ll always hold a special place in my heart cause it’s like every time we go down there I die a little.
Most memorable show you’ve played? and why? I’ve played shows?
Got a favourite song to play live? Whichever we open with, when I’ve still got the butterflies tickling my balls.
Any embarrassing on stage moments come to mind? Apart from the butterflies? oh I’ve fallen over, been dropped on my head, lost my pants and pretty much shat myself, but embarrassing? No.
Any pre-show rituals? We’ve taken to NOT taking drugs preshow that’s working out well.
What do you find is the hardest aspect of touring in a band today? Organising it, but that’s always been hard.
RIGHT NOW
Last song you listened to? ‘Church Of Punk Rock’, by Nerdlinger. It’s a fuckin cracker but it’s not out yet so shhhh.
Last album you picked up? Does an EP count? The Decline – ‘Can I Borrow A Feeling’, terribly fucking awesome.
Which band or album is currently on high rotation? Ebolagoldfish – ‘Prophet & Loss’ – finishing touches, you know
Tell us an up and coming band or artist you think we should go and listen to right now? Revellers – ACT boys and they’re going places
What’s on the cards for the next few months for the band? We launched our new album last Friday at The Factory Floor in Sydney now it’s off around Oz then who knows? We can only go down from here.
IF ONLY…
You can pick any one album for your band to cover in full, what would it be and why? Propagandhi – ‘Less Talk More Rock’ because we’ve done it before so we know it and it rocks.
You can pick any one band / artist to cover one of your albums in full, what would it be, and why? 5 Seconds of Summer – Teach em what a real Sydney Punk Rock Band sounds like.
A headline tour overseas comes up, tell us two bands you’d take along to support your band. Local resident failure, The Decline, Revellers, CDATR, Ivan Drago, Dividers & Nerdlinger. Fuck you it’s my headline tour.
