Byron Bay’s In Hearts Wake will commence their ‘Skydancer‘ regional tour this Thursday. After raising over $3000 for three not for profit partners via the single release late last year, now the band is ready to take it on the road and begin their 2014 campaign. They are joined by label mates Hand Of Mercy and Hellions on this tour which will begin in QLD and Northern NSW this week and continue through regional NSW next week. Expand this post for a reminder of all the dates and venues. Tickets are available now for all shows except the Harbour Cruise which has sold out.

We started The Skydancer Project to connect with and support indigenous communities around the world. We wanted to make a difference on a global scale, and our aim was to do this through supporting grassroots organisations that we felt were doing important work. As a band in the digital age, there are a lot of resources available at our fingertips, particularly with the internet and the accessibility it allows. We wanted to release new music in an unprecedented way and with the help of our team and non-profit partners we were able pull it all off. What we’ve achieved with the Skydancer Project is perfect synergy, with everyone involved benefitting mutually. We got to release our new song, the fans got new music and we were able to raise awareness and much needed funds for important and worthy causes. A massive thank you to everyone involved!” – INHEARTSWAKE

Greetings from Nakuru, Kenya. Today we got a generous donation from In Hearts Wake. We would like to thank the band and everybody involved in The Skydancer Project. We are very grateful for this support. The funds donated will be used here on our Kenya Community project.” – Rico Huntjens, Hardcore Help Foundation

Seventh Generation Fund for Indigenous Peoples is honored to have partnered with the band In Hearts Wake and their label, UNFD, in The Skydancer Project. This exemplary Project has raised the awareness of Indigenous issues and generously assisted already existing efforts in support of the right to self-determined futures for Indigenous Peoples. We deeply appreciate our involvement with the Project and the band’s creative collaboration in support of such worthwhile causes.” – Heather Freitas, Seventh Generation Fund for Indigenous Peoples

Red Dust was thrilled to be a charity partner with In Hearts Wake and The Skydancer project. We were excited to partner with the band and humbled by their interest in Red Dust’s work with remotely located Indigenous youth. The Skydancer Project has exposed Red Dust to a new audience, and has assisted in raising much needed funds that will go directly towards our health promotion programs in 2014. Thanks again for including us in this great initiative, great work guys – we really appreciate your support!” – Darren Smith, Red Dust
