Poison City Records have announced the signing of Melbourne’s Clowns to the label. Armed with an old style approach to punk / hardcore (think OFF!, Massappeal, The Bronx, Hard Ons) and ‘nothing better to do’ ethos, Clowns have spent the past 3 years building a loyal following around the country, playing hard and loud everywhere from seedy bars and cheap eateries, to skate spots and flea ridden share houses. Following a series of self-released 7″s, regular Australian tours and even a run of headline dates in South East Asia last year, the band finally completed work on their first full-length album this week. Recorded at Birdland Studios with Lindsay Gravina (Magic Dirt, Cosmic Psychos, The Living End), this debut album titled, ‘I’m Not Right‘ is set for release via Poison City in early October. Hit up the band’s page [Here] if you are not yet familiar with them. If you are in Tasmania you can catch them this weekend. Expand this post for the remaining dates of their Winter tour.
