One of Hobart’s most admired songwriters, Lincoln has largely been a state secret until recently. He subscribes to the grand tradition of chord striking, richly orchestrated, narrative songs. The result is an album of very Australian, very sumptuous canon of songs that relate the stories of people just like him: the every day folk. ‘Resonation‘ was recorded at Melbourne’s Sing Sing Studios with Paul McKercher (You Am I, Augie March, Screamfeeder) at the helm. Having just left an impression on those at The Weekender Fest, a whole bunch of new tour dates alongside Jamie Hay have been added to his schedule. Expand this post to see all of those.
