The Drones gathered in a disused old factory space in Melbourne early last year on a sultry summer afternoon to record an intimate live session of rarely played songs from their career that spans over thirteen years and five studio albums. The result is ‘A Thousand Mistakes‘ which will be released on DVD on September 16th via Shock and limited edition vinyl via Bang! Records. For the session the band were joined by old friend and regular Hammond organ and keyboard player Steve Hesketh, who featured on The Drones LP’s ‘Wait Long By The River And The Bodies Of Your Enemies Will Float By‘ and ‘The Miller’s Daughter‘. The DVD features over four and half hours of footage, including a full live show from East Brunswick Club, and a bonus disc featuring rare live footage filmed 2005-2010, in Germany, France and Australia.
