Alexisonfire have called it a day, a statement on the band’s website from vocalist George Pettit announces the news. The band had a ten year innings, releasing ‘Alexisonfire‘ in 2002, ‘Watch Out!‘ in 2004, ‘Crisis‘ in 2006 and ‘Old Crows / Young Cardinals‘ in 2009. They also released splits with Moneen and The Bled, and most recently their ‘Dogs Blood‘ EP and an Aussie Tour 7″ earlier this year when they were last on our shores. The band does plan to celebrate their tenth anniversary in some way, be it special releases, or a last run of Canadian shows, that is all still just in planning stages however, and may / may not eventuate.
