Camp Cope has announced national dates for their album tour in March 2018 with friends and special guests Chastity Belt.

Hitting much loved venues in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Bulli and Sydney, they will be playing from their forthcoming second album ‘How To Socialise & Make Friends‘ live around the country for the very first time.

Having performed some incredible shows this year including at The Forum, Sydney Opera House, and venues across the US, these headline shows will be some of Camp Cope’s only Australian performances for 2018.

As mentioned, joining them on this jaunt will be US band Chastity Belt. The two bands met on Chastity Belt’s last Australian tour earlier this year and became fast friends after a late-night conversation and a surprise in-store at Vinyl in Fitzroy two days later.

Formed in Seattle in 2010, Chastity Belt released their acclaimed third album ‘I Used to Spend So Much Time Alone‘ back in June.

WATCH

Camp Cope’s forthcoming album, ‘How To Socialise & Make Friends‘ anchors on the cycles of life, loss and growth through resilience and those moments of finding and being yourself. It celebrates the joys of being an independent unit and knowing who you are without any influence from external factors, and non-romantic love felt towards friends; the women who shape you and women working together to find strength in numbers. A raw account of sexual assault and the feelings of isolation that follow is painted, while the album closer shows Georgia solo, singing of her late father’s battle with cancer and their close friendship that prevails, even in death.

First single ‘The Opener‘ was released earlier this month, and is an honest portrayal of their experience as women in music.
