This they’ve assembled 12 acoustic acts to celebrate the quieter side of Tony Sly’s music.
The lineup includes Hanny J (Clowns), Joe Guiton (The Suicide Tuesdays), Tim Hampshire, Jo Neugebauer, Gordon Holland (The Naysayers), Von Stache and more.
The aim of Via Melbourne is to celebrate the life and music of Tony Sly and No Use For A Name, paying tribute to the legacy he left behind. Over the first 3 years, Via Melbourne has raised over $1000 for charities, both in Australia and overseas, namely the Tony Sly Music Foundation for Kids, and they hope to continue that through this year and beyond.
The song comes from their debut full-length ‘Double Dare‘, which is out now on Equal Vision Records.
After selling out the majority of their US launch dates, The band has now announced a new US run featuring support from As It Is, Chapel and labelmates Sleep On It.
Check out the new video below.
The album will be available in digital format, CD digipak and gatefold vinyl options and is now available for pre-order now [Here].
“Approaching this release, what I always kept in mind is that either this is the beginning of something new or it’s gonna be my last record. If this is going to be the last, then it needs to be something special. If there are more records, then I’d better make sure that this is so different from the last one that it feels like a new beginning. I think it’s really, really dark, very spiritual and filled with confidence and energy.“

You can check out a video clip for their single ‘Hopes & Dreams‘ below.
They will launch the EP live as part of the Uberfest line-up in Sydney on Saturday 26th August at The Bridge Hotel in Rozelle.
The band have an album planned for release in the Summer.
