“We are committed to evolution. This record is the sound of the two us pushing at the walls. We want there to be space, surprises and action! We both wanted to see how far we could take our sound as Death From Above. In a way, that has always been our objective.“

As the band’s follow up to 2015’s ‘Colour Blind‘, ‘Vacation‘ marks a progression in sound while still giving listeners the high energy and well-crafted hooks they have come to expect.

The band recently shared the latest track from the album, ‘No Servant Of Mine‘.
“YNYA is the perfect blend of every record we’ve released prior. I feel like we did a great job at capturing the best parts of Counterparts. Not to sound like a broken record, but these are definitely the coolest songs we’ve ever written. I really do hope you enjoy it. If not, I’m sorry and I guess we’ll try harder next time.“
‘You’re Not You Anymore‘, follows the band’s 2015 album, ‘Tragedy Will Find Us‘.
Pre-order the album now [Here] and check out the latest song below.
A video for album track ‘Let It Go‘ and a stream of non album track ‘Stadium Songs‘ are available to check out below.
Head honcho Ryan Young comments;
“I’ve certainly never made a secret out of my fangirling over Ezra’s music. That being said, this is some of the best he has created to date. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it. To jumpstart all of this, we have manufactured a flexi record with a bonus track from the recording session. While ‘Stadium Songs’ is not on the actual record, it is a great teaser as to what the rest of the record has in store. You can hear that song in Episode 165, which is up now! Starting today, you can get yourself a free flexi with any order from the site! I recommend you pre ordering the LP itself if you are a vinyl nerd. the first 100 copies are on white vinyl with a blue haze. That’s like, super limited.“
You can listen to Episode 165 of the Anxious & Angry podcast below, or [Here] and pre-order the LP [Here].
The dates mark the band’s first appearance in NSW and will include shows at Vic on the Park on Friday 25th August, The Cauliflower Hotel on Saturday 26th August and Frankie’s Pizza on Sunday 27th August.
CASH is Cassie Hope on vocals and guitar and Ash Acid on drums. Hope, who formerly played with the female rock band Tantalum, and Acid, who spent time with infamous Sydney punk legends X and garage-pop band DollSquad, formed CASH in late 2015 after the pair bonded over their mutual love of Deep Purple and Pat Benatar records.
CASH’s debut album is due early next year, and was recorded and produced by Hope & Acid along with Lilith Lane at Melbourne’s Newmarket Studios. ‘Lightning Striking‘, the band’s first single and video, was released in August 2016 and is a riff-thrilling, Ozzy Osbourne referencing stampede. Check it out below.
After the Sydney dates, CASH will play a series of hometown release shows in Melbourne followed by a string of dates in Spain.
