Last week we announced the return of Sydney’s Punk Rock Boat Cruise Schooner Or Later for this November.
Today is the day the tickets go on sale from Oztix [Here].
Need a re-cap? As always, Four hours of beautiful sight seeing, good music, good times and good food!
Jetting off at midday on Sunday 19th November from Star City Casino Wharf will see Melbourne powerhouse Clowns on board, who will be tearing through classics from their fast growing catalogue, and we hear, in typical cruise fashion, they may even throw in a cover or two.
If that’s not already enough to get you interested, how about Dad Religion? That’d be Stevie from Clowns, Lindsay and Gordy from Frenzal Rhomb and Grant and Cam from Bodyjar. Expect a set full of punk rock covers from the 80’s and 90’s featuring hits from the likes of Misfits, Adolescents, Devo, Agent Orange and more.
Heading down from Brisbane and trying the impossible will be Flangipanis. They will be covering Rancid’s 1994 classic ‘…And Out Come The Wolves‘ in full.
Rounding off the Main stage is Sydney’s Raised As Wolves who will be filling their set with a stack of Face To Face classics.
Up on the Rooftop Acoustic Stage this year is again one to get stoked about. Vetty Vials will be mixing it up a bit and covering her favourites from Good Charlotte’s first two albums. Jae Haydon will be covering No Use for a Name’s ‘Hard Rock Bottom‘ from start to finish, Jonno Read will be doing the same with Frenzal Rhomb’s ‘Smoko at the Pet Food Factory‘, Reuben Davis from Adelaide’s Hightime having a crack at selections from the Bedouin Soundclash discography, and to round it off Hanny J from Clowns pulls double duty and belts out a set of her originals.
Food on level 2 this year is by Eat Art Truck. Winner of ‘Best New Food Truck’ award and ‘Top 10 Cheap Eats’ by Good Food. Serving delicious American BBQ street food, their signature dishes include hot smoked pulled pork and 8 hour BBQ beef brisket.
Capacity is strictly limited, book early to avoid disappointment.
The cruise is over 18’s only, and runs from midday until 4pm. You’ll need to arrive opposite the steps of The Star (Casino) – 80 Pyrmont St, Pyrmont around 11:15am to collect wristbands and ensure you get on before the boat has to depart. It will not wait for you!
