After releasing two singles, ‘Behind The Beat‘ and ‘Give Me Yours‘ from their forthcoming EP ‘Subtitles For X, Y, Z‘ – Sydney-based indie-rock quartet CREO have now released the title track.

Recorded by Nathan Sheehy (Dune Rats, Birds of Tokyo, Bluejuice), ‘Subtitles For X, Y, Z‘ is a hard-hitting, guitar-driven number with an anthemic sing-a-long chorus.

Front man Jorjee Haman describes the motivation behind the song:

We all go through the process where age and experience starts to skew the innocence and purity of our natural habits and emotions. I remember vividly the first time I fell in love or even lust, and it was a simple feeling, it just came over me, I didn’t think about the alternatives and possible scenarios, I just accepted the feeling for what it was. Nowadays, I battle with myself, to avoid certain feelings and thoughts because of past experiences. ‘Subtitles for X, Y, Z’ is all about getting out of your own head, fucking off agendas and accepting that those innocent quirks you try to hide need to be loved by yourself, first and foremost.

Give it a listen below.

Since their 2012 inception, CREO have shared the stage with the likes of Minus the Bear, British India, Last Dinosaurs, Tired Lion, Polish Club, Bad//Dreems and Spookyland.

In the coming weeks, CREO will reveal an accompanying music video for ‘Subtitles For X, Y, Z‘ and tour dates.

The track will be available via Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes and all other good digital retailers on Friday August 18th.

Catch the band on Saturday night at Ric’s in Brisbane and Sunday night at The Cambridge in Newcastle. Both shows are free entry.
