News Bits & Pieces

THE DARKNESS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM
England’s most distinctive rock outfit The Darkness are back with their fifth album ‘Pinewood Smile‘, due for release on October 6th through Cooking Vinyl.

Marking the announcement the band have today unveiled the album opener ‘All The Pretty Girls‘, across all streaming platforms. It’s also available for instant download with pre-orders of the album on iTunes [Here].

THE CONTORTIONIST SHARE NEW MUSIC
American progressive rock act The Contortionist have released a new track today titled ‘Absolve‘.

The song is the second piece of music we’ve heard from their forthcoming LP ‘Clairvoyant‘ which is due out September 15th. The music video for ‘Reimagined‘ was released last month and can be seen [Here] if you missed it.

‘Absolve’ was one of the first songs written for Clairvoyant. We honestly didn’t know what to think of this track until nearing the end of our recording sessions, it became a favorite for everyone. The song represents a few sides of songwriting and the kind of mood that we wanted to explore. It is still a very unique track when listened to in context of the whole album.

STAND ATLANTIC RELEASE SECOND SINGLE
Sydney’s Stand Atlantic have released the second single, ‘Mess I Made‘ along with a lyric video off the upcoming EP, ‘Sidewinder‘ out on Friday 15th September via Rude Records.

The new tune from the alternative pop/rock band follows on from their first single, ‘Coffee at Midnight‘ for which you can see a video clip for [Here] if you missed it last month.

They say;

‘Mess I Made’ is about making mistakes and dealing with the simple fact that only you can fix them, as much as you wish they’d fix themselves.

Catch them playing an acoustic set supporting Little Brother at RAD in Wollongong on Thursday 31st August.

Listen to the new single below.

PVRIS CHANGE RELEASE DATE FOR NEW ALBUM
PVRIS have announced their new album, ‘All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell‘ will now be released on 25th August.

We’re excited for you all to hear All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell but due to some last-minute production tweaks, we have to move the release date to August 25th. We appreciate your patience and promise it will be worth the wait.

PVRIS recently debuted a video for ‘Half‘ which was directed by collaborator Raul Gonzo alongside PVRIS vocalist Lynn Gunn.

Pre-order the new album on CD/Vinyl [Here] or iTunes [Here].
