It has been 20 years since Pennywise unleashed a little album titled ‘Full Circle’, and they’re returning to Australia to play the classic in full later this year.
Originally released on April 22nd, 1997, the album peaked at #13 in the ARIA Chart locally and really saw their popularity locally explode, particularly on the back of the single ‘Society‘ and the now live staple ‘Bro Hymn (Tribute)‘.
They aren’t coming alone either. Making the tour even more special, they’ve enlisted Los Angeles band, The Bronx, who recently announced the release of their fifth album ‘V‘ for September 22nd.
The new album was produced by Rob Schnapf (Elliot Smith, Beck, FIDLAR) and will be released by White Drugs / Cooking Vinyl Australia.
We also copped the first taste in the form of ‘Sore Throat‘ which can be blasted below.
Singer Matt Caughthran says of the track:
“Sore Throat is a crime scene. A triumphantly tragic story of a manic mind frozen in freefall. The sonic smashing of your moral compass; let your reasons go, let your conscience be, mouth around your gun, now you’re finally free.“
