In their new single, Lauren Denitzio tackles these moments that feel as though they were plucked from an entirely different lifetime. ‘Future Me‘ views the nostalgia of a past life through the perspective of present day, recognizing what the narrator has overcome and what those experiences have taught them.
Listen to the single below. Last week the band announced tour dates with Camp Cope around the appearance together on Weekender Fest in September. Tickets are on sale now.

The album was produced by Shane Edwards (Northlane, Trophy Eyes, Hellions) at Karma Sound Studios, and consists of eleven brand new songs. While recording ‘Digital Ritual‘ in late 2015, the band’s guitarist Glen Barrie suddenly passed away. After clawing their way back from tragedy, the new album will finally see a release on July 21st through Eclipse Records.
“After everything that’s happened, releasing the album is a very emotional process. We’re stoked about finally sharing it with the world, but at the same time we’re anxious about whether we’ve done everything we can to preserve Glen’s legacy. We’re very thankful that Shane produced our album. He knows exactly how to push us to our limits as musicians, getting the best out of us. He has the unique ability to place an idea of ours in his hands, and from there it just flourishes into something brilliant.“
The band recently released the first single from the album, entitled ‘Starblind‘. You can pre-order the album on iTunes [Here].
The warning has also gone out in Melbourne, as the second and final Corner Hotel show has less than 60 tickets left.
After twenty years of defying expectation, pushing the boundaries of their compositions, and performances beyond what might seem possible or even reasonable, The Dillinger Escape Plan’s announced that they would be quitting after they complete the touring cycle for their new record ‘Dissociation‘. So for Australian fans this is our swansong.
For Sydney fans hoping to get one final chance to see the band live promoters are trying to add a second show but at this stage it’s not looking likely.
Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane still have tickets, but probably not for much longer. Grab one [Here].

“‘Head for a Breakdown’ seemed to write itself. In a sense, it’s a song about taking things too far when you darn right know it won’t end well but you do it anyway. Go figure. The mid solo section is an epic break unlike any we have done in the past. Very proud of this song.“
‘The Phoenix‘ can be pre-ordered on iTunes [Here], on Vinyl [Here] or on CD [Here].
