Glaswegian alt-rock duo Honeyblood consists of Stina Tweeddale on guitar/vocals and Cat Myers on drums. Having recently released their second album ‘Babes Never Die‘, Honeyblood have announced their first trip to Australia for a quick run along the East Coast.

Their first show will be in Sydney at Oxford Art Factory on Thursday 30th March followed by The Brightside in Brisbane on Friday 31st March and finishing up in Melbourne at The Curtin on Saturday 1st April.

Taking inspiration from dark and cloudy ’90s indie rock luminaries like PJ Harvey and Sonic Youth. Tweeddale formed the band in early 2012 with original drummer Shona McVicar. Having signed to Fat Cat, the band released their self titled debut in 2014, which crash-landed into many of the year’s most revered Best Of lists.

After touring with the likes of the Foo Fighters and Wolf Alice in 2015, Honeyblood returned to the studio with producer James Dring (Jamie T, Gorillaz). The band’s fiery second album, ‘Babes Never Die‘, arrived November 2016 through Fat Cat / Cooking Vinyl. The songs resonate with deep melodic hooks and the kind of effortless charm that’ve drawn recent comparisons to the likes of Best Coast and Haim.

Tickets for the tour are on sale right away.
