Melbourne’s Pretty City will be releasing their debut album ‘Colorize‘ on vinyl in the coming months.
The album has already seen them tour extensively locally, but also taken them over to the US where the album was 12th most added record to US college radio & was one of only two independent records to be included in the top 20 at the time.
Commenting on the vinyl release, they say;
“There’s got to be a reason Madonna says ‘Hey Mr DJ put a RECORD on I wanna dance with my baby’. And here it is: Digital is instant coffee music: you mostly eat it with a spoon rushing out the door. It does ok, however, Vinyl has that dark, sticky flavour. It melts your face and caresses your soul at the same time. Who wouldn’t sign up for that?“
Armed with the vinyl pressing, the band will head out on tour in August to plug it. You can catch them at Crown & Anchor in Adelaide on 5th August, then straight up to Brisbane to play The Bearded Lady on the 6th.
August 12th has them at Waywards in Sydney and then Yah Yah’s in Collingwood on August 13th. Tickets are available now.
