Melbourne’s Flour recently announced that they’re teaming up with Poison City for the release of their debut album ‘Morbid Thoughts‘ this September.
Following on from their video clip and 7″ ‘Silver Spoon‘ through Buttercup Records, they’ve now released a new video for the first single from the album, ‘Lonely Girl‘. Watch it below.
Recorded and mixed by Tom Lyngcoln (Harmony, The Nation Blue, Pale Heads) and mastered by Carl Saff (Dinosaur Jr, Guided By Voices) the 11 tracks featured on the forthcoming album blend care-free punk rock with dissonance, grime and stabbing melodies, reigniting the spirit of pioneers like Husker Du, Hard-Ons and The Replacements.
You can catch them live next at Shadow Electric in Melbourne on July 16th with The Meanies, Screamfeeder and Pale Heads. On August 22nd they’ll be at The Old Bar in Fitzroy, then Northcote Social Club on August 31st as well as a slot on the sold out Poison City Weekender in September.
Pre-orders for the album are coming soon. Stay tuned.
