Riding high on the success of fifth album ‘Nothing Touches Me‘ and their recent call to stand in for The Black Keys at Bluesfest, British India release the video for their new single, ‘Suddenly‘.

Shot across multiple locations in Victoria, ‘Suddenly‘ explores a young man’s journey to break free from his current lifestyle and start afresh. The video’s director, Jessica Lawton, shares her inspiration for the clip:

The idea for ‘Suddenly’ came about whilst reading an article about a small group of Israeli families planning to set up a kibbutz on the fringe of Melbourne. This setting was instantly fascinating and the character of Velvel, about to fly out into the world with nothing but romanticised ideas of what might lay beyond the closed gates of his Kibbutz, seemed the perfect character to explore the track with, steering away from any totally literal translations that could have been made.
