Brisbane punk-rock trio Columbus are on the rise and have today announced their ‘Home Remedy‘ East Coast headline tour. The tour will take in shows in Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Toowoomba and Brisbane.

Since dropping their ‘Home Remedy‘ EP last month things have really started to take off for the young band. The band were recently announced as the winners of the Triple J Unearthed Soundwave competition which will see them performing at the Brisbane leg of the festival this weekend.

On top of that, they have signed a North American booking agency deal with The Agency Group. Chad Lehner, who books a large list of acts including Less Than Jake and Anti Flag, will represent the band. On signing the band Lehner said,

“The authenticity of the vocals and the lyrics are ones that I can relate to and ones that I feel speak to a wide audience. There is no substitute for good music and that is exactly what Columbus is putting out”.

Since forming back in 2012 the band have released their debut EP ‘Sad Songs and Sing-Alongs‘ in October 2013, and have gone on to tour nationally with Endless Heights and Trophy Eyes, plus open for the likes of The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Neck Deep and Basement.
