TONY SLY TO RELEASE DEBUT SOLO ALBUM
Posted by Bomber on Friday, January 08 @ 07:04:51 CST (469 reads)
After more than 20 years at the helm of the legendary punk rock act No Use For a Name, Tony Sly continues to illustrate his songwriting prowess with the release of his first full-length solo album, 12 Song Program. The songs range from folk to pop, with many genre defying moments in between, but are all sewn together seamlessly with the common thread of innovative and dexterous craftsmanship. To further develop the aural layers of the album, Tony utilizes the vocal capabilities of Karina Deniké (Dance Hall Crashers) and Joey Cape (Lagwagon) to compliment his own. Take a listen to the track 'The Shortest Pier' [Here]. The album will be released mid February. See more info [Here].

NOFX UNLEASH COKIE THE CLOWN
Posted by Bomber on Tuesday, November 17 @ 06:28:55 CST (263 reads)
Recently, when NOFX recorded their latest full-length, Coaster,
they ended up with five too many songs to fit on the album. Instead of
embracing the traditional approach of releasing the extra songs as a
teaser in order to promote their then upcoming full-length, NOFX opted
to save five of the best songs from the session and release them months
later as an ep titled 'Cokie the Clown'. It will be released on Friday in both CD and limited 7" formats. A video has been made for the title track, you can watch that [Here]. NOFX will also release another 7" on Friday, for the single 'My Orphan Year', you can get your hands on that [Here]
