Hometown is best known for :
I'm going to namedrop The Country Kitchen right now haha. It's a breakfast
place in the center of town, a lot of people from NH and surrounding
states come to eat there.
Best venue in your hometown :
There is NO venue in our hometown, the closest venue to us would be
Rocko's in Manchester, NH about 30 minutes away from us.
THE BAND
How long has the band been going?
We recorded our first EP under the name Our Last Night almost 6 years
ago but we have come a long way since then haha.
Many lineup changes along the way?
Since that first EP we have switched our 2nd guitarist/drummer combination
2 seperate times. Trevor (vocals), Woody (bass), and I have been in
the band since the beginning.
How would you describe your sound to the average person on
the street?
Metal with heavy pop influences.
What's your most recent release? Tell us a little about it...
Our new album We Will All Evolve comes out on May 4th. We recorded
it with Andrew Wade (A Day To Remember) and was mixed by David Bendeth
(Paramore, Underoath, Breaking Benjamin.)
Got a favourite track that you have released so far?
I'll pick two off that album... The Air I Breathe and The Devil Inside
You. I love the powerful chorus in The Air I Breathe, and The Devil
Inside You is just a crazy guitar track, tons or really fast riffs,
it's a great one to play live.
OFF THE STAGE
What was your first introduction to music that made you think seriously
about playing it?
I guess when I first picked up a guitar, I loved it right when I started
and have always taken it seriously.
What was your first band name, and what style did you play?
Our Last Night is actually the first official band I've ever been
in. I didn't really try to start a real band until I was confident
enough that I could write music good enough to put on the internet
and show people. OLN has just worked out so far so it's been my only
band.
Most prized music related item you own?
My Gibson SG 61 Reissue, it's an amazing guitar. I got it for really
cheap too.
The thing you most look forward to just before a tour is...
Playing shows, about to leave for tour usually means you haven't played
in awhile.
The thing you least look forward to before a tour is...
Maybe 4 or 5 weeks in when you really just want to get home haha.
When your not doing band related stuff, what are you usually
found doing?
I hang out with my girlfriend a lot. Trevor, Woody, and I play a lot
of 3 on 3 basketball too. This last time we were home from tour I
recorded and produced a few bands which I had a ton of fun with.
ON THE STAGE / ROAD
Best rider item you've ever received without requesting it?
Hmm I don't even know, maybe people should hook us up more often.
Favourite place (city/town/country) you’ve toured…
and why?
Way too hard to choose one... we've never been out of US/Canada though.
So if I feel once we go over to europe this question will be easier
to answer. A lot of US cities are awesome, but are so similar.
Most memorable show you've played? and why?
Probably Bamboozle 2009. It was just an awesome time, we had a great
crowd and a great timeslot. I'm sure something will beat it out though,
hopefully our CD release show in New Hampshire coming up in a few
days.
Worst 'guilty pleasure' artist / song you've come across on
a bandmates iPod?
Limp Bizkit
Who in your group has the worst “bad habit” on
tour, and what is it?
First thing that comes to mind is Tim (drums) eating sunflower seeds
and leaving them on the floor of the van hahaha. I'm sure there is
something worse though.
RIGHT NOW
Where are you?
Sitting at my kitchen table at my Mom's house.
What's the last song you listened to?
Cave In by Owl City
Which band or album is currently rockin' your world?
Honestly, that Owl City album.
Tell us a band we should all go and listen to right now?
